Defining Our Core Values

Welcoming Visitors: (Matthew 25:35)

Genuine hospitality is an essential component of a growing church.  We use the word “Welcome” to challenge ourselves to create a culture of genuine hospitality where members accept the challenge of authentically embracing visitors.

Invitational Evangelism: (John 4:4-10)

Along with hospitality, growing churches emphasize an invitational approach to evangelism.  We use the word “Connect” to challenge ourselves to proactively engage people, to share our faith and extend an invitation to journey with God.

Bible-Centered Relevant Preaching/Teaching: (Proverbs 4:7)

In growing churches, the timeless gospel of Christ is shared in ways that speak to the real-life struggles of people. We use the word “Relevant” to challenge ourselves to seek innovative approaches for conveying the core of our Christian faith.

Discipleship/Christian Education: (Matthew 28:20a)

Engaging in a process for Personal Spiritual Development/Discipleship is crucial for maturing in our Christian faith.  We use the word “Discipleship” to challenge ourselves to create a process/system where we intentionally develop people in five areas: 1) Worship (personal & communal), 2) Prayer/personal devotion, 3) Christian Education, 4) Stewardship and 5) Service.

People Matter to God: (John 3:16)

Everyone is important to God and growing churches demonstrate this conviction in their outreach ministries.  We use the word “Service” to challenge ourselves to create and participate in ministries that will enhance, improve and transform the lives of the people we serve.

To welcome and connect all people with God through relevant discipleship and service.
