Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

I saw a cartoon one time in which a man sat at the edge of his bed with his head in his hands muttering, "Joy, oh joy, what wonderful things does this day hold?" The look on his face told you he wasn't happy about the day ahead.
I admit I've had days like that. I've also had days where I wake up feeling so good. Sometimes, I've even tried to figure out why I feel so good. But then I ask myself, "Why try to analyze yourself out of a good mood?"
Well, you know now when I wake up feeling joyful, I have come to the conclusion that it's God's way of giving me a preview of the life we have coming in Christ Jesus, the life where every day is a good day to be alive. Because of Jesus, we can all wake up singing, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24).
Dear Father in heaven, thank you for giving me a reason to smile in the morning; It's because of Jesus. Amen.
